Dinner With The Wessons

This afternoon we went to Mick and Kathy’s apartment for dinner. As soon as we arrived, Kathy gave us a tour of the apartment. The patio was huge and the view was beautiful. The river runs right in front of the apartment and there is a wonderful view of the mountains and downtown Cuenca. I was very surprised at how big the apartment was and the kitchen was very modern with granite counter tops, stainless appliances, and another beautiful view. I wouldn’t mind washing dishes if I had this view out my kitchen window.

Mick And Kathy’s View From Their Terrace

It was actually a really nice day, so we decided to dine outside. Kathy had made a wonderful meal of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, coleslaw, green beans, bisquits and coleslaw. We devoured it all and for dessert there was a cheesecake with mora (blackberry) sauce. What a treat! One of Kathy and Mick’s Ecuadorian friends Henry had joined us as well. He turned out to be a wealth of information and someone that we will most likely be using in our hunt for an apartment to live in while renovations are taking place.

Dining On The Terrace

Mick and Kathy have a little toy poodle named Nick and he is the cutest thing. He loves to play and kept bringing us his toys to throw for him. He also liked to be chased. Kathy was telling us all about the necessary permits and procedures in order to get your pet into the country. Mom and I were busily writing and asking questions making sure that we had everything straight.
